The Return of Cherry to Xanga! (ok not really)

Hi all! I'm guessing if you're reading this within my first week of posting it, you must have subscribed to my very non-updated xanga site from 3 years ago! Xanga sent me an e-mail 10 minutes ago saying they missed me and all... so I figured I'd return the favor and do a small update.

You know, I kind of miss blogging. I realized that my English composition skills have deteriorated since I stopped writing random stuff on a weekly basis. This is what happens when our society moves from personal blogs to facebook pages, where all we have to do is upload pictures and write short incomplete sentences on each other's walls.

I didn't even bookmark all my friends' xanga pages so I don't even know if you guys still update! Anyways, to stay on topic of the whole Cherry's Zoo theme, I uploaded a clip of my new Bengal cat taking a bath. That's my voice in the video by the way, and all I'm saying is how he's such a good kitty when he's taking a bath.

Remind me to update again in 3 years!

Baby Panda bears!

Did you know, giant pandas are "leased" to international zoos as a gesture of friendship with China? But since they're leased, after the panda gets to a certain age, they have to be returned to their homeland.

Pandas get named when they're 100 days old.

Baby pandas are born 900x smaller than their mommies, which is about the size of a mouse! No wonder pandas are so hard to raise and therefore approaching extinction ><

Freaky eh? They certainly look cuter when they're kitty-sized!

Pandas are also super territorial (they don't like other panda's living with them). This is a huge problem cuz it becomes even less likely for males and females to meet up and hook up... I wonder if shots of testosterone has been tested....

That baby panda reminds me of those chocolate panda lollipops that I used to have when I was a kid! Awwww I wanna hug a panda

Baby pandas must get regular check-ups by the zoo's vet to make sure they're growing properly. Due to their tiny birth sizes, infant mortality rates are quite high (panda mommies don't know what's going on!) Makes me wanna be a vet~

That hairy baby has HUGE claws! They don't start climbing trees until they're around 1 year old tho.

Don't they look like they're smiling?

When genetic cloning becomes popular, I'm getting a panda pet.... or a miniature elephant.
